In hindsight, drinking wine while lying in the sun to look at the eclipse was not – perhaps – the most well considered approach on a hot August afternoon. I feel somewhere between overbaked and under watered.
I did discover that melting and mixing about 2 tablespoons of butter into store bought icing makes it easier to spread over a cake. …I may have been a bit desperate to distract myself from clock-watching before the eclipse started. And on that same note, my spice drawer has a new organizational scheme, my freezer has been rearranged, and my shoes have rarely has such a detailed polishing.
